Once set up the table is study and comfortable. My 6'5" son was the first to try it out and said it was comfortable, though the arm rests are too far up for him. I am 5'6" and found everything very comfortable and in the right place. The 2" padding is very comfortable. I have not been able to set it up on my own yet (due to surgery, I cannot lift heavy objects), but I'm sure with practice it will be fine. I also set it up on a tile floor and am certain that it will be easier on a carpet. I am very happy with this purchase. It also arrived much sooner than anticipated.
