I bought the 24lb-29lb size, for my son who is only 22lb or so at 14 months. Honestly, from day1, they have fit right and the seams create a tight enough sea; at his thighs to contain messes. These are also a little more absorbent, so can take a medium size pee and not leak. Its cotton on the inside touching his skin, so he is very quick to feel wet and react- this is critical in the potty training department. Also, the price is excellent, so I bought 12 and I need them so I only have to wash 1-2 times a week (my DS only has 1/2 accidents a day now). Highly recommend both for containing messes and saving money.

Dec 8, 2011 Amended: have been using the trainers for 6 months now- they still work, but do not hold up well to heavy use and washings. They get washed once every 2 weeks now or so, our son is getting it finally, but a lot of the scotties are falling apart with stitching coming undone and elastic that is loose etc. They are about a 3rd of the cost of superundies which still look brand new. We do not reach for the scotties now unless we know its a short trip or no naps- they leak big time at naps, or my son has *suddenly* become a super-soaker?
