These are infinitely better than the standard style crutches. The older style crutches put too much painful stress on my hands.

I have a broken heel and have been on these for 6 weeks. It took a day or so to get used to them. Now I can keep up with the crowd.

I did end up wrapping the inner metal piece with a small length of electrical tape to reduce rattle. I also did that with the conventional style crutches (those were even more noisy). Just a tip.
