This is a very impressive toy! The descriptions you read really do not do it justice. The size and weight are--no pun intended--massive.

As a borosilicate (Pyrex) glass toy, it is practically impervious-lending itself to use with almost any lubricant and nearly any reasonable cleaning process: boiling, bleaching, dishwasher, etc.

I'm going to be blunt: as amazing as its vital stats are, I feel quite let down with my purchase. While I acknowledge that the price from Amazon is probably the best you can find (and I really have looked almost everywhere that sells this,) when I opened the package and inspected the actual product, I felt as though I had paid about twice what this is actually worth. For the price, I was expecting a flawless gem of a product that exemplified nothing less than the highest quality design and manufacture. However, the item I received had an obvious manufacturing defect: a tight cluster of tiny bubbles near the shaft that form a divot in its surface and I fear may, over time, degrade into dangerous fractures.

Concerning the design: the shaft and ball are very pleasurable, having a glass toy of this size is an accomplishment in and of itself. The bumps are a nice idea; but, by whatever process they are made, they are a bit pointier than I'd like. I do not think that they are unsafe (assuming that you are used to toys in this size range,) but the sensation they produce is much more pronounced than I expected.

I hope this doesn't discourage you from purchasing this toy if you are looking for something like it; because, having spent a couple of months shopping before I bought it, I can assure you that it has no equal and that you will be a very lucky person indeed if you find a better price than Amazon's. Just remember that it is NOT returnable.
