I bought this for my sister who was having difficulty keeping steady while walking. A cane didn't seem to work very well. She has fallen quite a bit and it was time to do something about it. She refused to get one of these herself, so I got one for her. She loves it. Now if I could only get her to use it ALL the time instead of just when she thinks about it. Older sisters know everything! Younger brothers don't know anything, so I'm waiting for her to decide for herself that she needs to use this all the time. It really is a great little walker. Very well designed...very light, yet sturdy. I have another older step-sister who has three of these. One for her house, one for her car, and one for her daughter's house. She has used it for years and swears by it.

I bought mine at a store, not amazon. But i enjoy it enough to review it on here. First off, the material is really nice. Not too hard but thick enough, with a gentle texture. The spot for the batteries is easy enough to work with, just a good twist to open and a twist/click to close. Then the power, its got diffrent power settings but gets plenty powerful, plus if you hold it down it will pulsate on different levels. And with the material its made of its a fairly easy clean. My only wish is that it had the outer part. But to remedy that i simply got a trojen vibe ring and put it on there. Been useing it for a few months now and its still like the first day i got it. Nothing is broken or failing. Oh, also the power botton glows so you always know where the tip is stiking up.

Remington Shortcut Clipper Set - Chrome Review

...and I do mean literally. I've gotten enough nicks and cuts with this balding clipper to contribute to the overall headache you may receive if you decide to purchase either finish color of the otherwise identical Remington Shortcut Clipper.

I first purchased the gray matte-colored one when it first came out (that's the one that has over 150 reviews on it). I highly recommend not paying too much attention to any review that was written BEFORE they had time to run into the major battery charger and/or battery problems that this model has, regardless of the finish.

I do have to say there is one positive about it, and that's the ergonomic design...it's about the most comfortable way to keep your hair short by yourself that I could possibly imagine. Of course, that is when THE UNIT IS ACTUALLY WORKING. So, after that first one went out on me, I had gotten so used to the comfort that I decided to try this chrome one...thinking that perhaps Remington had fixed its battery problem and I would actually be able to use the unit for longer than six months before it crapped out on me. I'm not one to bother with warranties, so for something not overly pricey I just forget about trying to have it fixed. If you're the kind of person who doesn't mind having to return things to get them fixed, then maybe this clipper might be worthy of purchase for you. But for anyone wanting a powerful clipper that is reliable, STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE.

It makes me a little upset to see the four or five-star reviews of this product take center stage at the bottom of the product page, because for a lot of people, those will be the only reviews people go by when deciding whether or not to purchase this clipper. Again, those reviews were written just a short time after receiving the product, so they had no idea about the battery problem. The other major problem with it is that it doesn't even come close to having the power to cut hair cleanly that a regular, corded clipper has.

So, as you can tell, this is not a recommended buy. If you have any doubts as to the accuracy of my comments, go over to the product page of the original, gray-matte finish shortcut clipper. Read only the reviews that are the most recent...there you will find several reviews from disgruntled customers who have experienced the battery problems...any review that doesn't mention the battery problem probably just means that review was written shortly after receiving the product. I've tried two of these now, at two different times, with the same result. Eventually it will die out on you, most likely between 6 to 12 months after purchase. I've learned my lesson, and I don't believe a third try would be a charm in this case!

Updated review: Seems to be lessening my chronic sinusitis. I weigh 145 - 150 pounds, taking 8 lozenges per day. If I keep getting better I will give it 5 stars, as expensive but worth it. Trying to get the correct order, or a refund, from the manufacturers was a nightmare, resolved only by a complaint to the BBB. I will say that subsequent to that the company responded satisfyingly.
