I began wearing this brace just 8 weeks after tearing my MCL playing ice hockey (elected not to have surgery). I wanted to get back on the ice but did not feel confident that I would not re-injure my ligament.

I purchased a medium which fit my leg perfectly (I was on the cusp between medium and large). The bottom layer of straps (the stretchy Drytex) was fitted to my knee on first wear and easily can be removed by sliding on and off the knee without having to re-adjust the fit. The top layer of velcro straps are used to tighten to fit for each wear. This brace fit nicely under my shin pad. I hardly notice the brace at all when playing. So far it seems to have protected my knee well, even after a number of significant falls and collisions. I have already recommended this brace to another person who likes it just as well.
