Not cheap, but very well constructed. They take some getting used to, but did help my feet quite a bit. I had ankle surgery, so was off my feet for two months, and when I got back to walking in shoes, my feet and lower legs were very weak from the lack of use and hurt. I tried various insoles (spenco, NB, others) and thick socks to relieve the bottom of foot pain, but now I just use these insoles (and I removed any insoles my shoes came with). I definitely felt the insert pressing into my arches at first, but after about a week I didn't notice anymore, so progressed to the next level. They do seem to make your feet/arches stronger over time. My only beef is that the last set of inserts (level 7) don't stay in place very well, and the material they are made of doesn't adhere to tape.
