Tor II - Black Review

I believe I can call myself an expert on the Lelo Tor. I have owned approximately 10 of these units starting with the Lelo Tor I since 2010. No, I am not a ring collector. The problem is that they just stop working even with minimal use. I have never seen one last even six months with the average being 3-4 months. Use for me is approximately 2 -3 times a week. The equates to 50 - 75 uses before this toy dies. Sometimes it doesn't last that long. Completely unacceptable for a $80 -$100 toy.

The Lelo Tor I would fail in one of two ways. One it would either just stop vibrating or the toy would fall apart showing the circuit boards underneath. I have a picture I sent to Lelo where I am holding 3 -Tor I that are in multiple pieces. I would post it here if Amazon would allow it. You can always tell when they are about to stop vibrating because the LED light on the side of the unit will start to flash erratically and it will get increasing harder to turn the unit on. Usually a few tries later you will try to turn it on and the unit will be dead.

Tor II ... After I had returned my orginal Tor six times(not joking) they discontinued the unit and updated it to the Tor II. Lelo sent me the Tor II under the Tor I warranty. I was excited when this unit was released because I figured they would have solved the problems with the first model. Nope... absolutely nothing has changed. The Tor II is larger with stronger vibrations than the Tor I but still has the same internal design flaw. I have not had one fall apart on me yet but that is mostly because the silicone exterior serves as a casing for the unit keeping it from coming apart.

I own two Tor II which I first received in Feb 2012 ( warranty from the Tor I). By May I had already received one replacement. The other one died some time over the summer. I was disgusted so I just let it lie around thinking I would just throw it away. Last month I decided to ship it back again so I am currently waiting another replacement unit. Last night I tried to turn on the one that I had replaced in May..yep you guess it ... Dead!!!

I own other Lelo Products like the Gigi and Billy and they have been working great for years and are worth the money. Stay far away from the Tor.

To Lelo's credit they have always been responsive and quick about sending me a replacement model but I am finally done with this unit.
